When we think about cybersecurity, we quickly think about technology and infrastructure. Why do we forget that the user plays a role in 90% of attacks and scams?

Founder of CY-clic, Emeline Manson devotes her work to the human role in keeping computer systems secure and personal data protected. She is passionate about human psychology and curious about new ways to bring people into security day to day. She also teaches in the cyberinvestigation certificate program at Polytechnique Montréal and has several years of experience in psychosocial intervention and in financial crime in the banking sector.

With a bachelor's degree in criminology, she first worked in social intervention with vulnerable populations before turning to digital technology and cybersecurity. That path still allows her to connect human behaviour with technological issues. She contributes actively to awareness campaigns, training and strategic mandates that help organizations better understand and manage digital risks through a human-centred approach.

The CY-clic mission: to train organizations to adopt better online practices, to push back fraudsters and hackers, and to keep so many years of effort from evaporating in a single click.
