Tania Saba

Founder and holder of the BMO Chair in Diversity and Governance and full professor at the School of Industrial Relations of the Université de Montréal

Tania Saba is founder and holder of the BMO Chair in Diversity and Governance and full professor at the School of Industrial Relations of the Université de Montréal. Her expertise covers diversity management, workforce aging, intergenerational value differences, transformations of work organization and future skills.

Her contributions have been recognized with several distinctions. The Gérard-Dion Award (2021) was granted to her by the Canadian Industrial Relations Association, recognizing individuals who have marked the field of industrial relations. In 2025, she received the Merit Award from the Conseil interprofessionnel du Québec and the Rémi-Quirion–OBVIA Award for research excellence and societal engagement.

Tania collaborates on major research projects with public and private organizations on labor market integration and adaptation of underrepresented groups.

In 2025, she was named co-chair of the Canadian delegation to the W20 (Women 20), a G20 engagement group promoting gender equality and women's economic and social empowerment.

Tania Saba leads the Québec and Francophone Canada hub of the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH) project led by the Diversity Institute of Toronto Metropolitan University, where she sits on the advisory committee. She is a founding member of OSMET, scientific director for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and sits on the executive committee of OBVIA (International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technology). She is a member of the Cri-Jade management committee. She is an affiliate member of the Future Skills Centre (Toronto), IVADO, CÉRIUM (Montréal Centre for International Studies) and CRIMT (Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work).
